How The Holiday Will Affect Your Payroll
Thanksgiving Day
Thursday, November 23, 2017 (Thanksgiving Day) is a Federal Banking Holiday. The Federal Reserve will be closed on this day, as well as Pacific Payroll.
If this is your regularly scheduled check date or if you would normally process payroll on this date your payroll may be affected. To guarantee timely funding or delivery of your payroll we have set the following schedule:
Direct Deposits and Check Dates
- Check Date or Delivery of November 22nd – no change needed, we will process as normally
- Check Date or Delivery of November 23rd – we will need to change your direct deposit date/delivery date to either occur before or after the holiday
- Check Date or Delivery of November 24th – we need to process your payroll and submit banking files by 1:00pm on Wednesday – files submitted between 1:00pm to 5:00pm and the receiving bank (particularly smaller credit unions) may delay posting on Friday.
If you have any questions or concerns, or need to inquire how the above affects your payroll please do not hesitate to contact our office.
